Israel Allies Foundation launches six new caucuses in Africa

In the wake of Israel's 12-day war with Iran, the Israel Allies Foundation is capitalizing on growing diplomatic momentum by expanding its influence with the addition of six new caucuses in Africa.

The Israel Allies Foundation (IAF), a faith-based advocacy group that empowers pro-Israel legislators worldwide, announced yesterday that it has expanded its vast network with the addition of six new caucuses in Africa.

The new caucuses launched on July 7 include Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Lesotho, Seychelles, Gabon, and Guinea-Conakry.

The establishment of these new caucuses, launched in the wake of Israel’s success in the 12-day war with Iran, highlights the growing diplomatic momentum following the inaugural Africa-Israel Parliamentary Summit held in Addis Ababa in September 2024. At the summit, more than 40 parliamentarians from 20 African nations reaffirmed their support for Israel and their recognition of Jerusalem as its eternal capital.

Comments from IAF's newest members

Reverend MP Paul Pusetso Masiu, chair of the Lesotho Israel Allies Caucus, said, “I seek to deepen and broaden my nation’s relationship with Israel, the nation of God. The ultimate intention is to establish much stronger binational relations between Lesotho and Israel, to the extent that Lesotho establishes an embassy in Jerusalem and Israel in Lesotho.”

Bishop Dennis Nthumbi, African director of the IAF, shared a message that strongly related to the IAF’s faith-based diplomacy mission: “Let the world take note: Africa stands with Israel, not as a political bloc, but as a family restored. Together, we declare: ‘Pray for the peace of Jerusalem—may those who love you be secure’ (Psalm 122:6).”

The significance of the diplomatic expansion into Africa

The successful expansion of IAF deeper into Africa reflects shared interests and goals in areas such as faith, innovation, diplomacy, and agriculture.

“The creation of these six new caucuses is more than a diplomatic milestone; it is a powerful affirmation of our shared biblical values and a forward-looking vision for partnership, prosperity, and peace,” said Josh Reinstein, president of the IAF. “This is faith-based diplomacy in action—uniting nations around common moral principles and a mutual commitment to stand with Israel.”
